Musical Theatre
Sing – Dance – Act all in one class!
Musical Theatre classes involve a combination of singing, dancing and acting. The class focus is on jazz technique, acting out a character, and singing in a non-competitive atmosphere. This is a very enjoyable class where students get to showcase their personality and develop their self-confidence.
The class will begin with a light warm up to get the dancers energy up and muscles engaged for class. From here, the children will work on their dance technique and then move into sining activities to warm up their vocal cords as well as acting games to develop facial expressions. At the end of each class they will work together to develop a mini musical. Some performances the dancers have worked on are songs from; The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and A Good man Charlie Brown.
Students will put together two casual performances within our Fall, 12 week session and family and friends will be welcomed into the studio to celebrate their accomplishments.
